My name is Karen, I’m in my 40s, and I am overweight.
Actually, my doctor considers me clinically obese.
This is my story.
It is tough to publish these photos.
But since I have made the choice to take responsibility for my body, weight, and health, I need to chronicle my weight loss journey.
It is my desire to inspire and support other women (and men) who face the same lifelong struggles with being stuck at overweight.
When you are obese, it is hard for you (and others in your life) to see the small, almost unnoticeable changes your body is making.
Smaller people show small weight loss more noticeably, so they receive encouragement and congratulations more often and sooner than heavier people.
Those of us who are working on changing our bodies and lifestyles have to encourage ourselves more and have a rock solid commitment to reach our goals.
So, here I am in May 2009 at 256 pounds.
I am 5 foot 4 inches tall.
So, here I am, in all my fat glory….I’m NOT Fluffy!
Are YOU?
Read the driving beliefs behind I’m Not Fluffy and why I do what I do.
Follow my story in the pages listed in the drop down menu under I’m Not Fluffy! at the top of the page. Or go to And Now I Have Diabetes to read the next chapter.
Believe in Your Gorgeous, I Do!
